Debbie Lechner
graduated from Cornell University and enjoyed a 15 year career in television broadcasting in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Diego. After a hiatus to raise three children, Deb studied website and graphic design and began designing websites for non-profits and small businesses. She began working with SCCG in 2009, when she was engaged to create and maintain the SCCG website. Since then she has taken on additional responsibilities related to communications and SCCG’s day-to-day organization. Deb enjoys volunteering with the Girl Scouts, travel, gardening and the theater.
Administrator Summary
The SCCG Administrator ensures the proper functioning of the organization by carrying out many day-to-day activities on behalf of the Officers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collect and reconcile RSVPs for quarterly Member Meetings.
- Coordinate with President, Membership Chair and Speakers Bureau Chair to prepare and distribute Agendas and presentation materials for Member Meetings.
- Coordinate with Member Meeting Location Hosts on attendance sheets and printed materials.
- Assist Treasurer and Membership Chair with maintenance of the Membership Roster.
- Coordinate with Membership Chair to process Member Applications and send welcome package to new Members.
- Monitor the SCCG email inbox.
- Manage SCCG website:
- Maintain the Member directory
- Update SCCG events and meetings information
- Update industry conference information
- Respond to password reset requests
- Coordinate new job postings and remove expired job postings
- Work with Secretary to update Officer biographies and role descriptions
- Update SCCG LinkedIn page regarding updates to the website, upcoming meetings, social events, etc.
- Report on activities at Officer meetings, or as may be requested by the President.
Qualifications:
This position may be held by a non-Member. Individual must perform the above essential duties satisfactorily. Accordingly, he/she will be highly organized, with strong written and verbal communications skills, attention to detail, and experience with website administration. The Officers shall oversee the Administrator.
